LIFE IS GOOD - NEWS ISSUE 5 - JULY 2010

July was not so busy but the conditions still great for diving. It seems the weather patterns have returned to normal with rain every afternoon. Don’t forget to contact the resort for our low season rates up till the end of September!

Dive Adventure Travel group (DAT) had a wonderful weekend, numerous dives with Ivan and guided by Arnold (Ace) Evangelista and Roger (Ogie) Paner.
Mr. Anthony Monaghan enjoyed a nice dive with his Dive Master Bernie (Bern) Castillo and Instructor Rosemarie.
A family from Ireland did some fun dives with us: Ruth, Liam, Andrew & Fergal.

TECHNICAL DIVERS

Mr.Fong is sleeping on the boat. Must have been out on the town the night before the dive!
Mr. Fong and his friends , Devil, Lee Kwan, and Dawson. The group was making tech dives to some of the deeper 45m to 50m sites here in Puerto Galera that require decompression.

MANGROVE REHABILITATION

The dive team of LBC have a project with a few schools from Hong Kong to replant the seedlings that were collected in some of the protected areas of Puerto Galera Bay.
What might look like fun for some, maybe is quite hard work trying to transplant seedlings into plastic bags in the mud flats
The seedlings will have time to mature before planting in late October and mid November.

CONGRATULATIONS

Snorkel test of Aprhiel and birth day of Edilberto Ambong
New Divemaster 'Aphril'. La Laguna Diveshop team, had some fun and had a great time, lot of foods and drinks, as they celebrated Aphril’s Divemaster party with the snorkel test AND one of our staff Edilberto “Bert “ Ambong's 48th birthday. Friends of Aphril and Bert were there.
