La Laguna Beach Club and Dive Centre offers a range of technical dive courses:
DISCOVER TEC EXPERIENCE
Duration - 2 hours
Discover Tec embraces the Dive Today and Discover philosophies, allowing you to begin your training in the water. The Discover Tec experience makes it possible to try the equipment and perform some of the procedures to determine your level of interest. Discover Tec experiences can be credited towards DSAT's Apprentice Tec Diver or Tec Deep Diver course.
Tec Experience Prerequisites:
- Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent.
- Be 18 years of age.
- Have a minimum of 10 logged dives.
DSAT Tec 40 Diver
Duration - 2-3 days
The Tec 40 diver is qualified to make decompression dives with not more than 10 minutes of total decompression and not deeper than 40 metres while using a single cylinder of decompression gas with up to 50 percent oxygen (EANx50) to add conservatism to the required decompression.
Prerequisites
You must
- be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- have a minimum of 50 logged dives, of which at least
- 10 dives must be on enriched air
- 12 dives must be deeper than 18 metres/60 feet
- 6 dives must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
- have a medical form signed by your physician
DSAT Tec 45 Diver
Duration - 2-3 days
A Tec 45 diver is qualified to make single and repetitive dives to a maximum depth of 45 metres while using a single decompression gas of EANx, or oxygen, to accelerate or add conservatism to the decompression.Duration 2-3 days
Prerequisites
You must
- be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Deep Diver (or hold aqualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Tec 40 Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Have a minimum of 50 logged dives, of which at least:
- 12 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres/60 feet
- 6 (with or without EANx) dives were deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
- be at least 18 years old
- have a medical statement signed by a physician
DSAT Tec 50 Diver
Duration - 2-3 days
A Tec 50 is qualified to use air, EANx and oxygen for multiple stop decompression dives as deep as 50 metres using standard open circuit, multiple cylinder tec diving equipment while using two decompression gases (EANx and/or oxygen) to accelerate or add conservatism to the decompression.Duration 2-3 days
Prerequisites
You must
- be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- be a DSAT Tec 45 Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- have a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which
- 20 dives must be enriched air dives
- 25 dives must be deeper than 18 metres/60 feet
- at least 20 dives must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
- be at least 18 years old
- have a medical statement signed by your physician
DSAT Tec Trimix Diver
Duration - 5 days
The DSAT Tec Trimix Diver course is intended for technical divers. The course extends your depth range capabilities by training you in the use of trimix (helium, oxygen and nitrogen} to depths of 75m/245ft .
The provided skills you will learn are applicable to further training and experience in technical diving fields.
DSAT Tec Trimix Diver Prerequisites:
- Be certified as PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent with CPR and first aid training within the last 2 years
- Be 18 years of age and certified as a DSAT Tec Deep Diver or have a qualifying certification in deep decompression diving.
- Have a minimum of 150 logged dives.
DSAT Gas Blender Nitrox/Trimix
Duration - 2 days
The DSAT Gas Blender course develops your ability to competently blend enriched air nitrox and helium-blend gases using one or more blending methods available for the dive industry. It is not intended to replace equipment-specific training required by manufactures of gas blending equipment.
DSAT Gas Blender Prerequisites:
- DSAT Gas Blender Prerequisites To enroll on the DSAT Gas Blender course, you must: Be at least 18 years old.
- Be certified as PADI Enriched Air Diver or hold a qualifying enriched air certification.
